House of Mouse, part two.....I have my eye on the puppy!

So, I wake up this morning and the twins run straight outside to play.

I forgot all about the mouse and it's impromptu grave in our garden.

Well, I forgot until Callum came in and said that the mouse had a broken face....

Ummm....I REALLY did not want to know now!!

What creature had mutilated this dead mouse and to what extent?! I just hope it doesn't give my son nightmares!

And then I let Charlie (black lab puppy) out and he manages to get loose. I find him over by a pine tree chomping on something. Hmmmm.....suspiciously looks like a mouse tail and back legs.

EEEEEUUUUUUWWWWWW!!!

Now I'm worried about poisoning my puppy! How much has he ingested?!

Sigh......this is so gross.....I feel nauseated!

The House of Mouse!

One mouse down, how many more to go?
Living in the country has it's positive aspects but the drawbacks are mice and other vermin!

Tonight was an example of a drawback! I've seen a mouse or two in the office and even in the kitchen so I knew something had to be done! Obviously Pogo (our cat) is on a first name basis with them and must party with them at night as he's yet to catch one! (mice are crafty and not in a good sense as in 'hey, we could sell this on Etsy!')

So, with a hard heart I had to buy some d-con and put it in places that I knew the mice would be and NOT where the kids could get to it!

That was a few days ago and I did see one pop up in the kitchen and I just said, 'Yeah, you keep eating those little treats I'm leaving out for you!' Muhahahahaha

Tonight, I had just made dinner and was standing in the kitchen with Mike. A little furry body comes out into the middle of the kitchen floor!! I scream and jump up on the counter top (brave person that I am!) and tell Mike to get rid of it!! It's obviously had some of the d-con as it's not running away!!

Mike says, 'So, how can I get rid of it?!'

I said, 'Pick it up by the tail and throw it outside!!!'

He declined to do that but instead scooped the mouse up in the taco box that was on the side and took it outside.

A few hours later I decided to check and see what has happened to mr mouse. Outside the back door is a taco box and the mouse that is no more. (I won't do the whole parrot sketch!) Little limp body and I'm sure I even saw x's on his eyes. Yes, people, this is an ex-mouse....ok, I'll stop.

I called out to Mike....there's a dead mouse on our back step!!! I tried to move it myself but I got within centimeters of the mouses tail (I was planning on flinging it across the fence....let the neighbors deal with my murderous ways) and a big shudder ran through my body. Nope. Couldn't do it!!

So, I came inside and carried on with whatever the hell I was doing. (the trauma has made me forget)

Half an hour later I hear the back door open and Callum comes up the stairs and he's saying, 'Mom, this mouse is sooo cuuuuuute!'

Talk about a freak out moment!! I screamed and Mike laughed his arse off from the office!!

I'm trying to herd Callum outside and I manage to make him throw the mouse into the garbage can!! Callum was protesting all the way, 'but he's so cuuuute'!

I tried to explain that the mouse died and is now in mouse heaven. Callum comes back in the house and I scrub his hands until he protests quite loudly.

An hour later and I'm calling the kids in as it's time to go to bed. Callums still talking about the mouse and saying how cute it was and that he's now in the garden.

WHAT??!!

He saw my face and said, 'Nevermind!' as he could see that mama was going for another freak out!

I turned to the garbage can and yep it's upended and not a mouse in site! (dead or otherwise)

Another round of hand de-germing goes on.

Tomorrow I shall check on the grave of mr (or mrs) mouse and hope that some hungry animal comes along and eats it.

But, now I'm worried that I'll find a dead cat on my doorstep that's eaten a poisoned mouse!

Maybe I should just get a condo?! Or a pent house?! You never hear of pent houses with mice problems, do you?!

Wow....just WOW!

I find it very disturbing though actually amusing that someone in this country would feel the need to protest about my naughty store!

I've received nasty convo's and they've been reported but to actually call out in the Etsy forums is just.....well, words fail me! And something like this always happens when I'm out!! Damn it!!

And then...fuelled by a few glasses of wine I decided to 'heart' this store while in my naughty persona.

What do I get?! A harassing convo! It reads as follows.....

'It's always good to know who the low lifes are so that you can avoid them. If you would like I will report this to etsy. Otherwise back off and act like a professional and an adult. Or else I will take this as harrassment and take the necessary steps to get rid of you for good. Thank you for your attention to this matter.'

Please note that I'm taking the high road and not saying who this person is!

But she couldn't leave it alone and actually called herself out in my post about harassing convos!!

Kamikaze??!! Falling on their own sword?!!

Or maybe this person is so repressed that they can't poop anymore?! Constipation is a baaaaad thing ladies and gentleman! It can make you harass quiet people like me!

Also, what has this person achieved?

They've highlighted my store..... a plus! Yay for the naysayers!!

Oh and I did reply to the convo....here it is.....

by CrotchStitch

Don't worry, I've already reported this to Etsy as YOU are the low life. Never, ever have I judged a store by its content. There were plenty of warnings on the front page and yet you decided to ignore them. Etsy has policies about mature content and I follow every single one of those policies. I've even had admin approve my content, in the way that I present it.I guess I'm just questioning your reading ability....How many nay sayers agreed with you?Umm zero!Keep your kids off the net as they will see far worse than what my store has to offer!Oh and get a sense of humor as that's what my store is all about. And for my final request I would say please do not contact me again!!!You have called out my store (which I would have responded to but I was at the store fulfilling one of my orders!) and was alerted by one of my friends. If you contact me again I will report you AGAIN and admin will do what they need to do.I am NOT a low life and have found Etsy to be quite a fun place to be! I'm not repressed at all....... Leah

I may feel the need to show all of my harassing convos...hmmm....we'll see.....

I'm just floored that someone who called me out in the forums still felt the need to call themselves out again in my own thread!!

http://www.etsy.com/forums_thread.php?thread_id=5761877

Again, I'm astounded that someone clicks through on something that's tagged mature, has mature in the title AND there's even a warning in my store announcement!! What more do you want?! I'd add bells and whistles but these types would probably have their speakers turned off and they'd still complain!!!

Notoriety for ME and my store!!

One last push for the book!!

Ok, I need to make one last push for the book that I'm giving away!!

If you're looking for a good summer read then look down a post or two and check it out!!

Also, a great lady featured me on her blog!!

Aunt Jane!! I can foresee this is going to be a great blog and not just because she featured me!! She's come up with a kind of twisted Dear Abby and it's too funny! She truly makes your problems go away!! Test her out!

Oh and just using mummy logic on my eldest son. He told me that he didn't want milk on his cereal but I told he had to as he was using a cereal bowl with a straw. I just made it a fact and he took me at face value! Ha, gotta love mummy logic!

My Ped Egg!

Laura (from the Loud Mouth Ladies) mentioned that her Ped Egg was fantastic.

So, I bought one a few weeks ago and it sat and sat in it's packaging.

I finally used it the other day and wow, what a change in my feet!!

I did have an eeeuuuuuuwwww moment though when I emptied it but I'm hoping I've lost weight!

Summer Reading and a Giveaway!

Well, I promised that I would think of some cool giveaways and here's my first!

Are you looking for a good read? I have a hardbound book by Marian Keyes called Anybody Out There?. There's nearly 600 pages and it's a great read! I bought this book the last time I was in England (yes,I just had to check and it's priced in pounds!) and thoroughly enjoyed it!

BUT, nothing comes without a price!

What could I possibly want from you for this wonderful book?

Tell me via comments what you would love to see in cross stitch! Serious answers only please!

So, the one that I'm most impressed with will get my book! I'll even pay shipping! (it might not get there in the quickest way but hey, I'm not made of money! Donkey ok?)

Anyway, this is my first giveaway and we'll see how it goes!
Now I must go and clean my house.....I think I have a child stuck to the floor! (kidding! Or am I?!)

I apologize (or if you're reading this in the UK, apologise!) for my self centeredness!!

Yes, I've gone on and on about Etsy and it's all been ME, ME, ME. I can blush and say sorry all you want but I've been selfish!!

Soooooo many cool and great people on Etsy!!

I have a very low 'cry' threshold and one lovely lady named Melanie (Bags by Melanie )brought that out in me! She contacted me on Etsy and asked if I would make a cross stitch pattern from her pictures. Of course I would!! And then she sends me over the most gorgeous kids!! I don't know what it is about making these patterns....there's just something so personal about them. This is someone giving me pictures of her precious children so that I can make patterns. I don't know how I can convey the feelings of trust that this invokes! (or is it envokes....whatever...it's late and I'm too tired for dictionary.com!) Anyway, I felt myself tearing up when I was making them. And that happens a lot!!

A friend of mine from LML (TheLoudMouthLadies ) asked me to do one of her grandfather that passed away. Talk about a mess of tears!!

And one of the great ladies of LML (Gloria) asked me to do one of her son and again, I feel like I know this person so well that doing this for her just brought tears to my eyes!! Gloria has a wonderful son named Luke who is truly a wonderful boy!! He is so blessed to have Glo and Derrick as his parents!

Oh and not to forget Caren who's doggy I'm trying to immortalize! (it's getting there Caren, I promise!)

Soooooo....this whole post is to celebrate the love of giving and family and well, anything that I can think of to make me cry!!

Sorry about all the penises.....just kind of got obsessed!! I promised boobies but didn't really come through, eh?!
And I'm going to work on give aways too!! I've got tons of books that I've read that are in great condition that I'd love to pass on so that will be mentioned in future posts in the spirit of giving!!
Gotta give!! :)

And without further ado.....

Here's a new phallus for your enjoyment! :)

There's something squirmingly enjoyable about making something like this! I feel naughty but I also laugh!

I call this one 'Gooooood Morning'!

I'm envisioning this design on a pillow or something. On a wall would be nice too but I'm thinking pillow.

He's going into my Etsy shop in a few minutes.

Bookmarks!!

Dammit, I wish I had more ink in my printer!!

And I wish I'd kept the blog on my screen that suggested this great idea!

I sooo want to make bookmarks now that shamelessly (love that word!) plug my etsy site. (www.woohoocrossstitch.etsy.com)

And then the other brilliant idea? Guerilla marketing!!

I'm going to hit the library! Every cross stitch book I can find....bookmark inside!!

Book stores? Going to hit all those lovely cross stitch books!!

I will be relentless!!! Muhahahahahaha!! :)

Etsy....what a great place to be!
